  1. What is the Bongo Buddy
    The Bongo Buddy is a FireFox add-on which estimates the singular and consolidated international shipping costs on US retail websites.

    The Buddy also allows International Consumers to streamline the Personal Shopping process. Bongo's Personal Shopping service will purchase items for international consumers when a retailer will not accept their international credit card.

  2. How can I start using the Bongo Buddy?
    To start using the Bongo Buddy press the Download image, located at the top right of this page. The Buddy is only compatible with FireFox at this time.

    FireFox is a popular, free, web browser. To download FireFox, visit: http://www.FireFox.com.

  3. How do I use the Bongo Buddy?
    After you install the Bongo Buddy to your FireFox browser you will see the Buddy logo in your navigation bar:



    Launching the Bongo Buddy will generate a horizontal window in your browser.



















    When you navigate to a site such as Amazon.com it will calculate the shipping costs for items it recognizes. It is best to navigate to the specific product page to refine the results.



















    To estimate the cost of a consolidated shipment, press the logo. This will move the item to the 'Consolidated Cost' tab.

    In the below example, a customer has added a Kindle, Skis, Boots and Poles to a shipment.




    If a US Retailer will not accept your international card, and you have a Bongo account, you can transmit the information in the 'Consolidated Cost' tab to your personal shopping module within your Bongo account. To do this simply ensure press the 'Buy Now' tab and enter your Bongo login credentials.


  4. How are shipping Costs Calculated?
    The Bongo Buddy estimates the shipping costs of individual items and the cost of consolidated shipments by querying Bongo's database of items. International shipping costs are determined by the weight or the dimensional weight of an item or shipment.



    The Bongo Buddy displays the estimated singular an consolidated cost of shipping an item.


  5. How do I uninstall the Bongo Buddy?
    On Firefox's top menu, click Tools >> Add-ons. Click on Bongo Buddy. Then click the Uninstall button.
